Summer is a great time to experiment with new clothing, hairstyles, and types of makeup. If you’re unsure where to start with your summer makeup, check out these up-and-coming makeup trends.

Bright Colors
Colorful makeup is in this year. Bright colors appear in all types of makeup, including lipstick, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and nail polish. One of the big eye shadow colors featured on the runway was purple, and many models wore this color both on their eyelids and under their eyes. Teal was also popular, with many models wearing teal eyeliner. Brightly colored nail polish is also big, especially orange, hot pink, and yellow. Bright, colorful makeup is a great choice if you want to go for a bold look this summer.

Red Lipstick
Red is a classic lipstick color, and it’s making a comeback in a big way. Red lipstick was worn in many runway shows this year, and it’s also a favorite of many actresses and pop stars. Every woman needs a tube of red lipstick in her makeup case. This makeup's powers include the ability to make you look as glamorous as a 1940s film star.

Natural Makeup
While there are a lot of bright colors and bold makeup looks that are big this year, natural makeup also happens to be huge. Although the goal of this look is to make it appear like you’re not wearing any makeup, it actually takes a lot of makeup to pull off. You’ll need to apply foundation and concealer to make your skin even, and you'll want to wear a blush that’s close to your skin tone to give your skin a light flush.

For your eyes, choose an eye shadow that’s close to your skin tone, and pick soft gray or light brown eyeliner that will give your eyes a slight bit of definition. Finally, for your lips, pick the color that’s closest to your natural lip color. If you want to take part in both the brightly colored makeup and the natural makeup trends, you could alternate your look every other day, wearing teal or purple eyeshadow one day, and then natural makeup the next.

These summer makeup trends are fun to do and will make you look wonderful. Makeup’s powers include making you feel great about yourself, and transforming how you look on a daily basis. These trends do all that and more.

Deciding what makeup to wear for your wedding can be tricky. If you’re unsure about how to pick the right beauty rogue, lipstick, or eye shadow, these tips are for you. Here’s how to put together flawless wedding makeup.

Do a Trial Run
Doing a trial run of your makeup a few days before your wedding is extremely important, especially if you’re using colors or brands that you don’t usually use. When you’re doing this trial run, wear a white shirt so you can get an idea of how the colors will look with your wedding dress. Testing your makeup before the wedding day will help you find any problems while there’s still time to fix them.

Choose Products that Will Last
The wedding day is long, stressful, and emotional. Because of that, you need makeup that’s built to last. Waterproof mascara and eyeliner are a must-have, and you should always pick hardy lipstick, eyeshadow, and rogue. On the day of the wedding, be sure that one of your friends or bridesmaids has a touch-up bag on hand. That way, you’ll be able to quickly fix faded lipstick or eyeshadow.

Avoid Using Trendy Makeup
You want your wedding photos to look timeless, and one of the easiest ways to date the pictures is wearing the newest makeup fad. Instead of picking the makeup that’s cool now, try to choose classic colors. For your eyes, it’s best to go for a more neutral palate, because that’s timeless in a way blue eyeshadow isn’t. That way, your wedding pictures will always seem like they could have been taken just yesterday.

Make your Cheeks and Lips Pop
While it’s best to go neutral with your eye makeup, you want your cheeks and lips to pop. Choose a best selling lip color that’s a brighter red than you may usually use, and pick beauty rouge that accents your cheeks. These will help you stand out in any pictures taken throughout the day.

When you’re deciding on your makeup, choose best selling lip colors that make your lips pop, pick a timeless color scheme, and use makeup that will last from the moment you walk down the aisle until the last dance at your reception. If you do all of these things, you’ll have the flawless wedding makeup that you always dreamed of.

Exercising can make you feel more energized, and it can also help stave off postpartum depression. These five tips for exercising post baby will help you feel great, and look great too.

Start Walking More Walking may be the simplest exercise, but it’s still very effective. Put your baby in the stroller and take them out for long walks around the neighborhood. For even more of a workout, walk backwards or in a zigzag pattern. Try walking for at least a short period every day in the weeks after you give birth.

Practice Yoga Yoga is great for new moms. It will help stretch out sore muscles, and it will also help increase your flexibility. While you’re practicing yoga, be aware that pushing yourself too hard can cause injury. Some common yoga injuries include knee tears, pulled hamstrings, and lower back pain. If you’re careful and gentle with yourself, you should be able to avoid these common yoga injuries.

Abdominal Strengthening Exercises If you want to tone your stomach muscles soon after giving birth, try doing abdominal contractions. To do this exercise, just breathe in deep and contract your stomach, holding it in for a few seconds at a time. This simple exercise will help you start the process of toning your abs.

Work on your Lower Back While you’re working on your abdominal muscles, you’ll also want to strengthen your back. There are many exercises you can do that will strengthen your abs and your lower back at the same time, like curl-ups. Try doing a few of these at a time, building up your strength until you can do ten in a set.

Don’t Over-Exert Yourself If you find your muscles are aching constantly, take some time away from exercising and let your body heal. You can even treat yourself to a spa day. 5 spa treatments that are particularly good for helping sooth sore muscles are massages with essential oils, acupuncture, hydrotherapy, hot stone treatments, and mud wraps. Any of these 5 spa treatments will help you feel less sore and much more relaxed, overall.
